Company Overview

One of New York Citys leading and most prestigious General Contractors is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee high-profile projects across NYC.

The firm delivers complex commercial, healthcare, high-rise, and residential developments throughout the region.

Role Overview

The Superintendent will manage day-to-day field operations, ensuring safe, on-time, and high-quality project delivery from ground-up or major interior scope through close-out. This role requires strong leadership, scheduling expertise, and experience navigating NYCs regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site construction activities and subcontractor coordination
• Drive and maintain project schedules in fast-paced urban environments
• Enforce OSHA, NYC DOB, and all site safety regulations
• Lead daily site walks, quality control inspections, and progress tracking
• Coordinate inspections, logistics, and trade sequencing
• Maintain daily reports and support project close-out/punch list
• Communicate proactively with Project Managers and ownership teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on healthcare, commercial, high-rise, or residential projects
• Healthcare/hospital project experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of NYC construction regulations and inspection processes
• Proven ability to manage multiple trades simultaneously
• Ability to read and interpret full construction drawing sets
• OSHA 30 required (SST preferred)
• Procore or comparable construction management software experience
