Job Description & Requirements Specialty : OR - Operating Room Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 15 / 2025 Duration : 32 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 10 hours, rotating Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with recent Level 1 trauma and Epic experience for a rotating day / evening schedule. Responsibilities Work in the Operating Room of a large academic Level 1 trauma hospital Care for surgical patients across all specialties except CVOR cases Required to circulate all specialties except cardiothoracic (CVOR) and scrub General, GU, GYN, ENT, ophthalmology, plastics, laparoscopic, trauma, thoracic, and vascular cases Uses Epic EMR, recent Epic experience required Rotating 10-hour day and evening shifts with three day shifts and one off shift per week Call required : one weekday call per week plus one 24-hour call in every four-week schedule block Work week runs Monday through Sunday with no option for block scheduling Travelers must work at least two of these holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day Main duties include circulating and scrubbing a variety of surgical specialties except CVOR cases Flexible scheduling required to meet patient and unit needs Team-based environment in a high-acuity setting Bi-weekly orientation sessions held on Mondays Travelers are responsible for securing appropriate snow or all-season tires from November through April No block schedules permitted Personal vehicle or rental car strongly recommended due to lack of public transit access Requirements Active VT or compact RN license required, or proof of pending NY license Minimum of 2 years OR RN experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Recent experience in a large academic Level 1 trauma environment required Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is mandatory Ability to circulate and scrub required specialties as listed Reliable transportation is necessary as public transportation is not accessible Must be willing to apply for VT licensure within 24 hours of accepting an offer if not already held Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628217.
