Azure DevOps / AWS Cloud Architect @ Columbas, OH

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Azure DevOps / AWS Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and support of cloud-based information technology solutions. This position serves as a technical expert for building, maintaining, and operationalizing infrastructure and security services across multiple cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and SharePoint to deliver highly available and scalable systems.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with peer architects, developers, and technical teams. The role requires advanced experience in both Azure and AWS, infrastructure as code, automation, and DevOps pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the operational design, maintenance, and operation of cloud-based platforms (Azure, AWS, Salesforce, etc.).

Provide technical guidance and establish best practices for cloud operations, infrastructure, and deployment processes.

Lead automation initiatives to minimize manual effort and improve transparency across the secure cloud ecosystem.

Partner with stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into actionable cloud implementations.

Deploy, configure, and maintain containers, Kubernetes clusters , and related automation tools.

Drive integration of legacy systems with new cloud solutions, identifying and closing gaps between current and future state architectures.

Design and oversee CI / CD frameworks, DevOps pipelines , and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) processes.

Establish operational processes and frameworks for infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform and Azure DevOps.

Lead and execute detailed testing and validation of cloud solutions; analyze results and resolve issues.

Provide incident response and operational support , including participating in 24 / 7 on-call rotations.

Manage cloud networking, storage, compute resources , and performance monitoring.

Document and communicate solutions, progress, and timelines to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Assist with customer-side monitoring tools and lead efforts during operational outage events.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Master s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Technology, or related field.

Current Certifications (Mandatory) :

Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional

Preferred Certifications :

Salesforce AD201 / AD301

Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or Unix / Linux certifications.

Experience :

10+ years of experience as a computer systems analyst or network administrator.

7+ years of software engineering experience in team-based environments.

5+ years working with enterprise-level cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).

Proven experience integrating legacy applications with cloud systems.

Hands-on experience with Terraform, YAML, Azure Cloud Hub, and Azure DevOps .

Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and Bash scripting languages.

Advanced experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Serverless Computing .

Strong knowledge of networking concepts, virtualization, and cloud security principles .

Advanced experience deploying and managing scalable, fault-tolerant applications in multi-cloud and hybrid environments .

Experience with Gearset for Salesforce deployments.

Expertise with source code management tools (Git, GitHub, GitLab) and CI / CD build pipelines .

Deep understanding of API development and integration (REST, RPC, Web Services).

Proven ability to lead automation and DevOps initiatives , define operational processes, and implement best practices.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills , with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively.

Excellent communication and presentation skills , capable of translating complex technical information for diverse audiences.
