Position :

  • Driver / Mover for Home Shows & Events Job Overview : Are you a reliable and experienced mover seeking a position with a positive and reputable company?
  • Look no further!
  • We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Driver / Mover for our Bathroom Display at home shows and events.
  • As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for transporting our display to various locations, ensuring its safe setup and ensuring it is brought back at the end of each event.
  • The driver will operate a Company truck and trailer.

  • @shugarmansbath.com What You’ll Do :   Load displays inside a company trailer for transport to events and shows in San Diego and Orange County.
  • Safely transport bathroom displays to and from event locations and storage.
  • Set up the display at event locations.
  • Collaborate with the event manager to ensure smooth setup and transportation.
  • Ensure the display is presented in an appealing and professional manner.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while driving and setting up the display.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the storage facility.
  • Perform repair and clean displays as needed.  Keep the truck and trailer clean.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

    • What You Should Know :

  • Schedule : Varies; mostly Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, occasionally Thursdays.  Most work occurs on weekends - Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, but may occasionally include weekday shifts depending on event schedules or needs.

    • Employment Type :

  • Part-Time 20-30 hours per week Hourly Rate : $23-$25 DOE Guaranteed Hours : We guarantee a minimum of 3 hours of pay in the morning and 3 hours in the evening, even if your shift only lasts 1.5–2 hours.  Split Shift : You’ll also earn an extra hour of pay for working a split shift!  401k : Eligible to participate in the company 401(k) after 90 days.

    • Paid Bi-Monthly You Must Have :

  • Prior experience as a driver and mover preferred.
  • Prior experience driving a trailer connected to the truck.  A valid driver's license and clean driving record.› Availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, occasionally Mondays and Thursdays.
  • Ability to work variable hours, typically 1.5-2 hours in the morning and 1.5-2 hours at night.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as events and home shows demand.
  • Knowledge of proper lifting techniques A positive and professional attitude.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently Physical Demands   Able to lift heavy objects, often up to 100 lbs Able to move our shower display, often up to 100 lbs ( wheels attached) Must be able to walk, bend, and move in all directions Must be able to drive a truck and a trailer.
  • Must be able to connect the trailer to the truck.   Must be able to lift and move the bathroom displays.
  • The successful candidate will be subject to our pre-employment background check, drug screening, and driving record check.
