Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details : \n

  • Work day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week

    • \n

  • 13-week assignment length

    • \n

  • 16-bed SICU unit with 1 : 2 patient ratios

    • \n

  • Assignments made according to patient acuity and skill level

    • \n

  • Floating to other units as needed

    • \n

  • Weekend and call requirements to be discussed during interview

    • \n

  • 2+ years ICU experience required

    • \n

  • Required certifications : BLS, ACLS

    • \n

  • CCRN certification preferred

    • \n

  • Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted)

    • \n

  • Experience with CRRT and hypothermia protocols preferred

    • \n

  • Meditech documentation system experience preferred

    • \n

  • Work with all ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors

    • \n

  • Participate in central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, and other ICU procedures

    • \n

  • Care for surgical population, especially oncology patients

    • \n

  • Dress code : Royal blue scrubs required, clean and healthy nails with no artificial nails allowed, hair must be neat and pulled back if shoulder length or longer, tattoos should be covered when possible, visible piercings other than ears prohibited
