Job Description

Title : Lead Speech-Language Pathologist

About the Role

Provide high-quality, individualized therapy for children in a structured, flexible clinic setting while contributing to clinical leadership and team development. This role combines direct care with mentoring, program building, and quality assurance. For the right long-term fit, there is a potential pathway to partnership within the practice.

Core Clinical Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based speech, language, and social communication therapy.
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans aligned to client goals.
  • Collaborate with families on home programming and carryover.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold all compliance standards.
  • Participate in case reviews and interdisciplinary collaboration as needed.

Leadership and Program Responsibilities

  • Serve as a clinical lead for a small team of SLPs and SLPAs, including mentorship, modeling of best practices, and constructive case consultation.
  • Support onboarding for new clinicians and interns, including training on clinic standards, documentation, and family communication.
  • Lead or co-lead quality improvement efforts such as treatment fidelity checks, outcomes tracking, and documentation reviews.
  • Help shape clinic programs, groups, and protocols that improve client outcomes and team efficiency.
  • Contribute to scheduling philosophy that protects planning time and avoids back-to-back overload.
  • Coordinate select family education workshops or brief in-service trainings for school or community partners.
  • What We Are Looking For

  • California licensed SLP, CCC required, minimum 3 years of pediatric experience.
  • Demonstrated strength in family communication and relationship building.
  • Experience mentoring, supervising, or informally leading peers preferred.
  • A clinician who prefers a steady, patient-centered pace rather than a high-volume model.
  • Commitment to structured sessions with protected time to plan and reflect.
  • Comfort using clinical data to guide decisions and measure progress.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Schedule and Caseload Philosophy

We prioritize quality over volume. Sessions are structured with built-in time for planning, team touchpoints, and documentation to support excellent care and sustainable workloads.

    Compensation and Benefits

Competitive pay with annual bonus based on company performance, paid time off, continuing education support, and benefits package. Details provided during the interview process.

    Growth and Partnership Pathway

For a strong culture and performance fit, there is an opportunity to grow into expanded leadership and, subject to agreed milestones, to be considered for partnership. Milestones may include consistent clinical excellence, measurable team impact, contributions to program development, positive family and community relationships, and alignment with practice values. Partnership is not guaranteed and would be evaluated transparently with clear criteria and timelines.

    How to Apply

Please send your resume and a brief cover note describing your pediatric experience, leadership interests, and why this clinic model aligns with your goals. Include two references who can speak to your clinical work and teamwork.
