Job Title : Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Specialty : Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of two years; primarily outpatient experience preferred

License : Must be currently credentialed by the appropriate State Physical Therapy Board

Certifications : Verification card of current instruction in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Must-Have : Inpatient experience

Job Description :

• Collaborate with a team to provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist.
• Implement selected components of patient interventions, obtain data related to interventions, and modify interventions to progress patient care or ensure comfort and safety.
• Assist in treating individuals of all ages with medical problems or health-related conditions limiting movement and functional activities.
• Provide patient care in inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings.
• Report directly to the Rehabilitation Manager.
• Maintain effective communication with employees, physicians, visitors, administration, and the public.
• Operate necessary equipment, perform technical procedures, and exhibit professional communication skills.
• Work in a state-of-the-art, newly built Rehabilitation Gymnasium in a clean, well-lighted, heated, and air-conditioned environment.
• Be prepared for exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and infectious diseases.

This position does not require holiday coverage. Bilingual capabilities are helpful but not required.
