Responsibilities :
- Planning and organizing production schedules to meet forecasted demand and production targets.
- Developing and implementing production strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Managing and supervising production staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Monitoring and controlling production costs to achieve budget targets.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
- Collaborating with other departments, such as quality control, maintenance, and procurement, to coordinate production activities and resolve any issues.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
- Maintaining accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
- Monitoring and analyzing production performance metrics, such as yield, efficiency, and downtime, to identify areas for improvement.
- Managing inventory levels and coordinating raw material procurement to maintain uninterrupted production.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in food science, food technology, or a related field. A master's degree may be preferred for some positions.
- Extensive experience in food production or manufacturing, with a proven track record of managing production operations.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment used in the food industry.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for production planning and analysis.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
