Experience :

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Ortho experience required
  • First-time travelers not accepted

    • License :

  • Active state RN license required

    • Certifications :

  • BLS (AHA) – Required
  • ACLS, NIHSS – Preferred

    • Unit Details :

  • Ratios : 1 : 6
  • Beds : 36
  • Float : Required to units of equal or lesser acuity
  • Weekend Requirement : Half of scheduled shifts
  • EMR : Epic (required)

    • Skills Required :

  • Med / Surg and Telemetry
  • Colostomy care
  • Feeding tube management
  • Pre / Post hemodialysis management
  • Renal failure management
  • Accessing ports
  • Blood product administration
  • Central line blood draws
  • Peripheral line management
  • Phlebotomy and IV starts
  • PICC line management
  • Heparin and PCA administration
  • Spinal cord and traumatic brain injury care
  • Ortho trauma and total joint replacements
  • Surgical drains management
  • HFNC, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks
  • Tracheostomy management
  • Wound care
