Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a CMM Programmer to join a manufacturing company based in West Hartford, CT. The CMM Programmer will be involved with developing, optimizing, and supporting CMM programs, focusing on inspection, documentation and software control. In this role, this individual be responsible for manual layouts, and integration with automation, as we as milling and turning operational inspection. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include :

• Utilization of MCOSMOS and PC-DIMIS softwares
• Write programs to eliminate need for elaborate set-ups for operator usability.
• Reduce usage of functional gaging through increased programming.
• Train personnel in use of CMM machines, programs and inspection methods.
• Review ECO’s to ensure inspection methods in use correlate to latest op sheet requirements.
• Develop inspection methods, acceptance criteria, and create inspection plans to assure quality requirements are met.
• Reviews inspection results and determines suitability of material for use.
• Issues and maintains corrective action responses, internal or external and follows-up to assure effectiveness.
• Supports Production in areas such as : test support, quality investigations and supplier issues.
• Investigate technological enhancements to promote improvements.
• Streamline and improve quality systems and procedures and focus on developing the “Quality System.”
