Job descriptionBachelors of Science Degree Preferred in Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or other life sciences 1-2 years of professional laboratory experience Previous experience working within GMP manufacturing (Biotechnology, Medical device, or Pharmaceuticals) This job description is a complete list of all desired skills but not all are required. Exciting 2-year development opportunity to work for a global leader dedicated to helping people see brilliantly. The largest device company in the world - with complementary businesses in Surgical and Vision Care - is hiring a Laboratory Technician to join their team!
Schedule : M-F 8a-5p with some flexibility
Location : Duluth, GA
Pay : $21-$23 / hr
Job Duties :
- Works following laboratory and chemical safety guidelines and escalates safety-related issues.
- Proactiveness in staying productive and takes initiative in looking for ways to contribute between tasks or studies.
- Communicates to the team immediately when process or quality issues are encountered.
- Asks questions to understand the manufacturing process and takes feedback on potential improvements from the team.
- Performs record keeping duties in conformance Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to meet quality and accuracy requirements.
