Summary :

RDBI Design Engineering Co-op

The Co-op Student performs as a member of the Breakthrough Innovation team within R&D.The Student conducts early prototyping activities, including but not limited to concept development, design refinement and 3D modeling . The Student is expected to prioritize and manage multiple and simultaneous work assignments as directed by members of the R&D team and the R&D Manager. The Student is expected to comply with established safety guidelines and perform duties according to standard operating procedure (SOP)when applicable.

For this opportunity, the expectation is to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per week in the Libertyville, IL office.

Responsibilities :

• Having a clear understanding of customer needs to accurately reflect the problem(s) to be solved and guide subsequent concept design.
• Understanding of current market solutions and their limitations
• Understanding current patent space
• Early concept and prototype development.
• 3-dimensional modeling (i.e. CAD).
• Other duties as assigned

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00 / hr. The actual salary varies based on applicant's education & skills.
