JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE : Operator, Assembly

FLSA STATUS : Non Exempt

REPORTS TO :

Supervisor, Manufacturing (Assembly)

SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of the department supervisor, the Production Operator / Associate is assigned to standardized work of routine nature involving molding machine operation and / or assembly of molded part. Work generally involves the use of simple hand tools, trimming, retrieving, counting, weighing, packing and general overall inspection of part. Responsibilities include distribution within the plant, placement and removal of parts from fixtures, monitoring and recording quality assurance, including charting of machine factors affecting quality. Production Operators / Associates are required to perform continuous visual and manual quality checks in accordance with standardized guidelines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

• Must be able to stand for entire work shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED

SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position typically does not require any travel.
