Travel PCU Registered Nurse - $1,945 per week

• Work in a stepdown unit with high patient ratios of 1 : 4-5
• Treat mixed MS / Tele and Intermediate patients including neuro, respiratory, cardiac, and mixed medical cases
• Assignments may be all PCU, all MS / Tele, or a mix depending on patient acuity and staffing needs
• Titrate cardiac drips and manage telemetry monitoring
• Work every other weekend with floating required within facility
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Holiday work required based on assignment period - work 1 holiday if 1-2 fall during assignment, work 2 holidays if 3 fall during assignment
• No call requirements or block scheduling
• Patient population ranges from adolescents to geriatrics
• Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Minimum 1 year experience required - first-time travelers accepted
• Must wear navy blue scrubs
• Use Epic charting system, Pyxis, and SBAR communication
• Full compliance required to start on time with 2-week pushback if not compliant
• Skills include blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tube management, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, dysrhythmia management, and tracheostomy care Facility : This healthcare organization operates a 36-bed Progressive Care Unit that serves as a stepdown facility for patients requiring intermediate care. The unit maintains high patient ratios and specializes in caring for a mixed population of medical / surgical and stroke patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, and transportation services.
