Reports To : Project Manager
Job Summary : This position assists with the construction and maintenance of aerial, fiber, and coaxial line projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade aerial and underground telecommunications cable per the applicable specifications and quality and safety standards
- Lash coax and fiber with proper handling techniques
- Set poles and anchors
- Drive and operate line vehicles and station them properly for the work to be done
- Organize materials and basic hand tools necessary to complete project requirements
- Complete all required Company documentation
- Other duties as assigned

Education : High school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.), or related trade school education
Experience :
One to three years wireline telecommunications industry experienceOne to three years coax, aerial, and fiber construction experienceOne to three years pole climbing experienceAbility to operate a bucket truckKnowledge of highway traffic control standardsTechnical Skills :
Ability to use hand toolsBasic knowledge of G.O. 95 and similar state aerial guidelinesIntermediate ability to pole frame and place strandsIntermediate understanding of coax fiber design printsSoft Skills :
Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out instructionsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong verbal communication skillsAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlinesPhysical Requirements :
