Head Softball Coach

As the program lead, you will shape the culture, structure, and success of the softball program from the varsity level through junior high and elementary development leagues. You will have the autonomy to recruit and build your coaching staff, design training programs, and implement your vision for excellence on and off the field. This position does not require a teaching role.

Position Details :

Schedule : The varsity season runs from February to May. Practices are held 2–3 times per week with a 20+ game schedule, including local tournaments. You will also oversee and develop year-round programming and feeder systems.

Location : Based in Abilene, TX. Practices and games will be held at X

• Academy partner facilities and fields.

Compensation : A $5,000 stipend for the varsity season. Additional earning opportunities are available through camps, clinics, off-season leagues, tournaments, and skill development sessions.

Staffing : You will have full autonomy to recruit, hire, and oversee assistant coaches, junior high coaches, and developmental league coordinators. You will also collaborate with the athletic department to align staffing with organizational values and expectations.

Lead the high school varsity team with excellence in preparation, performance, and character.

Set the tone and strategic direction for the entire softball program, including junior high and elementary initiatives.

Create and oversee skill development systems and off-season training opportunities.

Build and mentor a strong coaching staff committed to growth, integrity, and competitive success.

Communicate regularly with families, students, and the X
