Position Summary
The Clinical Quality Data Analyst is responsible for tracking, trending, and analyzing patient and payer data to support quality improvement initiatives, close care gaps, and improve HEDIS and STARs performance. This role combines clinical knowledge, payer quality expertise, and advanced data analysis skills to develop actionable insights, dashboards, and reports that drive quality outcomes and regulatory compliance across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
• Organize and manage clinical and payer data from multiple sources, including EHRs, claims, and population health datasets.
• Gather, cleanse, validate, and analyze raw data to identify trends, patterns, and performance opportunities.
• Design and execute analyses of daily, weekly, and monthly quality KPIs, including HEDIS care gaps, STARs measures, and payer incentives.
• Create and maintain dashboards tracking quality measures, compliance, and care coordination activities.
• Assess reliability and validity of data outputs, identifying methodology or workflow issues impacting outcomes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in interpreting payer and HEDIS/STARs data and translating insights into action.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and visualizations for leadership, payers, and internal stakeholders.
• Respond to reporting requests and support payer submissions, audits, scorecards, and quality summits.
• Monitor provider and staff performance against quality and regulatory requirements.
• Provide site-level feedback during clinical visits, system tracers, and audits.
• Collect and validate data for HEDIS submissions and STARs improvement initiatives.
• Travel up to 50% between clinical sites to support performance monitoring and compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred in health informatics, analytics, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Informatics or Data Analytics preferred.
• One (1) or more years of experience in healthcare data reporting or analysis.
• One (1) or more years of experience working with HEDIS or STARs programs.
• Experience with ECW and other EMR platforms.
• Experience with payer engagement, reporting, and project management preferred.
Skills & Knowledge
• Strong knowledge of HEDIS, STARs measures, and payer quality programs.
• Advanced analytical ability with large clinical and payer datasets.
• Proficiency building dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI, and/or Tableau.
• Ability to communicate data insights clearly to providers, payers, and executives.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Work Environment / Physical Demands
This role requires prolonged sitting, computer use, and data analysis activities. May require standing, walking, and travel to clinical sites. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Schedule / Hours
This is a full-time, exempt position. Hours may vary based on business needs.

Salary Range (50th Percentile Philosophy – Florida)
Minimum: $65,000
Midpoint: $72,000
Maximum: $80,000
