Job Description
A confidential aerospace and defense technology company is seeking a Production Technician to support all areas of light industrial manufacturing. This is an excellent entry-level role offering hands-on training across multiple production processes and pathways for advancement into specialized positions such as Solder Technician, CNC Operator, or Electronic Assembly Tester .
Key Responsibilities
- Build wire assemblies, cables, and harnesses using hand tools and automated equipment.
- Operate and maintain automatic wire cutting / stripping machines , laser engravers, and custom test equipment.
- Assemble and test electronic assemblies to ensure functionality and quality.
- Mill, measure, sand, polish, and anodize metal components.
- Build foam components and assemble transit cases.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
- Follow written build instructions, BOMs, and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in root-cause investigations for production issues.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on production equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and ESD safety standards.
Qualifications
Familiarity with basic manufacturing tools such as digital calipers, multimeters, heat guns, and wire strippers .VantageClear Certification or equivalent (e.g., active U.S. security clearance or comparable defense-industry credential) required.Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, BOMs, and build instructions .Strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.Willingness to learn new processes and take on new challenges.Strong computer, verbal, and written communication skills.What's Offered
