CareerWise is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that creates life-changing opportunities for the youngest generation of America’s workforce. We build industry-led, student-centered, youth apprenticeships through classroom and on-the-job learning providing flexible, alternative pathways to economic mobility. We have hundreds of CareerWise apprentices in the workplace, charting new paths to academic and career success. In addition, workforce and education leaders from across the country have visited CareerWise to learn about our youth apprenticeship model. As a result, our programs have launched in multiple states, leveraging our institutional knowledge, technology, and infrastructure.

We are looking for a highly skilled Events Manager to manage and optimize our digital and in-person event strategy and execution nationally and in our flagship programs in New York City and Denver. Job Summary
The Events Manager, reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, will be responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of organizational events that advance our vision and strengthen relationships with stakeholders. This role requires a balance of creativity, operational excellence, and strong communication skills to deliver high-quality experiences. They will play a key role in maximizing the effectiveness of our event efforts, driving event engagement, and supporting the marketing & communications strategy.

Additional Proficiencies

Budget Management : Proficiency in financial oversight, cost negotiation, and ROI analysis.
Technology Tools : Experienced with event management platforms, CRM systems, and digital collaboration tools. Bonus points for knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Blackthorn, Salesforce, Marketing Cloud.
Event Marketing : Knowledgeable in social media, email campaigns, and promotional strategies.
Contract & Vendor Management : Expertise in sourcing, negotiating, and managing partner relationships.
Data & Analytics : Ability to track key metrics, evaluate impact, and generate performance reports.

Location
This role shows preference to those located in Denver, CO, but we're open to folks around the country working remotely. The Events Manager will need to be able to travel roughly 6 - 12 times a year for events, all staff meetings, and marketing team strategic sessions. Exceptions will be made for special circumstances.
Compensation
The starting salary range for this role is : $64,648 - $75,888 this role is exempt from overtime and the minimum wage provisions of the FLSA. CareerWise offers a generous benefits package including group medical, dental, and vision plans, short-term disability, 100% vested 401k plan with a 3% employer contribution, and flexible time off.

Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination for use of standard office equipment. Some heavy lifting required onsite at events or as a part of event preparation.
