Noxious Weed / HHW Equipment Operator I
Operates equipment used in spraying noxious weeds and brush. Handles, sells, and mixes chemicals used to control noxious weeds under the direction of the Noxious Weed Supervisor. Operates under the Noxious Weed Supervisors license.

Education and / or Experience :
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills :
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations.
Mathematical Skills :
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Financial Accountability :
Employee is responsible for making purchases in accordance with Montgomery Countys Procurement Policy with prior approval from the Supervisor.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :
Must possess a valid drivers license. For Household Hazardous Waste must attend Hazwoper class and receive a certificate within the first year. Must be willing to attend other training classes as required.
Other Skills and Abilities :
Must be able to talk with the public and discuss their concerns in a professional manner.
