The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a diverse caseload involving personal injury, wrongful death, provider claims, and commercial litigation. This role is ideal for a seasoned attorney who possesses exceptional legal research and writing skills, and has a proven track record of successful negotiation and litigation.

Job Details

Responsibilities :

As a Trial Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

1. Representing clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil litigation.

2. Conducting legal research and gathering evidence for lawsuits.

3. Interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.

4. Drafting and preparing legal documents, such as lawsuits, appeals, wills, contracts, and deeds.

5. Negotiating settlements of civil disputes, ensuring the best possible outcome for our clients.

6. Addressing and managing provider claims and medical provider disputes.

7. Applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills to devise litigation strategies.

8. Maintaining the highest levels of professional conduct and ethics.

9. Collaborating with a team of legal professionals to discuss case details and strategies.

Qualifications :

To be considered for this role, you must have :

1. A Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

2. Admission to the State Bar of Michigan.

3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Trial Attorney, specifically in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, provider claims, and commercial litigation.

4. Demonstrated proficiency in legal research and writing.

5. Exceptional negotiation skills and a proven track record of successful litigation.

6. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

8. Ability to manage multiple cases and projects, with a keen attention to detail and deadlines.

9. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
