We are seeking an experienced and highly technical SAP S / 4HANA Finance Solutions Lead to drive the end-to-end design and delivery of our critical Finance transformation program. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring the technical integrity and successful deployment of core SAP S / 4HANA Finance and its integrated satellite applications.

As the Solutions Lead for the Finance workstream, you will be the technical authority overseeing delivery from design through hypercare. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include :

Solutions Architecture : Serve as the Solutions Lead for the end-to-end technical delivery of high-quality SAP-enabled solutions, including core SAP S / 4HANA, MDG, BW4HANA, SAC , and integrated applications (e.g., Blackline, Open Text VIM, Taulia).

Design & Governance : Lead detailed design activities, review and approve the System Integrators (SI) technical documentation (FSD / TSD, BCD, PDD), and ensure all custom development ( RICEFWs ) meets our cloud-compliant S / 4HANA architecture principles.

Agile Delivery : Provide critical inputs to SI sprint planning in a Product Oriented Delivery (POD) based hybrid Agile methodology, ensuring features map correctly to user stories and epics.

Collaboration : Act as a critical bridge between internal partners, business stakeholders, and the System Integrator, ensuring the build accurately reflects the detailed design.

Configuration & Quality : Review and approve SIs build configurations, assist with necessary configurations, and ensure high-quality deliverables traceable to requirements.

Deployment & Support : Support the planning and execution of all test cycles (SIT / UAT), participate in cutovers, manage go-live events, and provide technical triage during post-implementation hypercare .

Risk Management : Proactively anticipate, raise, and mitigate technical risks and issues impacting project scope, schedule, and resources.

Knowledge Transfer : Conduct thorough knowledge transfer sessions for IT Operations and Support teams to ensure sustained operational continuity.

Core SAP & Functional Expertise

SAP Finance (S / 4HANA) : Ten (10) or more years of overall SAP experience, with recent, hands-on S / 4HANA Finance implementation experience (configuration, business process knowledge, solution delivery).

Functional Mastery : Expert-level skill set and end-to-end process experience in SAP FI / CO / TR / PS , including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable / Payable, Management Accounting, Close / Consolidations, Project Systems, and Cash Management.

Cross-Functional Knowledge : Cross-functional knowledge in SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM) or Plant Maintenance (PM) is required.

Technical & Integration Proficiency

Techno-Functional Blend (RICEFW) : Strong mix of functional and technical expertise, including the ability to review and guide on RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) to minimize customization.

ABAP / Technical Knowledge : Prior ABAP development experience is required (not primarily hands-on coding, but must be able to review technical specs, pseudo-code, and guide solutioning ). Proven experience in SAP BTP and / or Cloud ABAP programming is highly desired.

Cloud & Integration : Experience with SAP S / 4 Rise in a cloud environment ( AWS preferred , but Azure / Google Cloud acceptable). Must have familiarity with integrations to third-party / satellite applications (e.g., SAC, DataSphere, PowerPlan, OpenText VIM, etc.).

Methodology & Leadership

Leadership & Advisory Role : Demonstrated solution leadership and review / advisory capability . This is not a project management role; candidates must be able to challenge customization decisions while minimizing custom build.

Methodologies : Familiarity with hybrid agile delivery, SAP Activate methodology , and tools such as SAP Cloud ALM or Signavio for business process management.

General Requirements

Industry Experience : Utility or asset-intensive industry experience is preferred. Bluefield implementation experience is also a plus.

Communication : Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation), capable of conveying complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to actively collaborate in sprints, review documents, and engage with engineers and finance stakeholders.

Education : Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Finance / Accounting, or a related field. SAP S / 4HANA certification is welcome.
