Position Overview
As a Nursing Assistant (NA) , you will play a vital role in delivering resident-centered care and daily living assistance in our long-term care facility. Your work will directly impact the lives of our residents, ensuring they receive the support they need in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to residents, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and record vital signs, offering psychosocial support as needed.
- Assist residents with mobility, using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Enhance the dining experience by assisting with meals and snacks.
- Document resident interactions and communicate any changes in condition to the charge nurse.
- Support wellness and recreational programs, encouraging resident participation.
- Maintain cleanliness in living areas through housekeeping and laundry services.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience : Long-term care experience preferred (6 months preferred, 3 months required).Education : High school diploma or GED preferred.Certification : Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required within four months of hire.Additional Certifications : Depending on the facility, Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) certification may be required.Driving Requirements : May require a valid driver's license and motor vehicle report, depending on facility needs.Working Conditions
Shift : Varies, with a PRN schedule.Location : Must support multiple locations within 150 miles of your permanent address.Weekend Commitment : One weekend shift per month.Compensation & Benefits
