Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns. Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols. Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and support a welcoming environment for all patrons. Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site-specific procedures. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Experience with computers and / or tablets is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Experience with alarm panels is preferred. A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred. Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. Security Officer Mall Patrol Full-Time
As a Security Officer Mall Patrol Full-Time in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a welcoming environment at a retail or mall location. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering outstanding customer service to visitors and staff. Mon 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM
Tue 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM
Wed 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM
Sun 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM
What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
