Gastroenterology Physician

JOB DESCRIPTION : Great opportunity for a Gastroenterologist recently trained or just completing fellowship to join our highly regarded group of 6 physicians. We offer a competitive initial guaranteed salary plus a productivity bonus opportunity. The ideal candidate for this position will be a 'people person' and advanced endoscopic skills are not needed for this general GI opening. Our expectations also include excellent communication skills, good teamwork with staff and colleagues, a solid work ethic and a strong service orientation toward patients and referring physicians. Physician time is spent 30% in the clinic and 70% in the endoscopy center and have a day each week for administration time to catch-up with documentation. GI call will be '1 in 7' rotation. HOSPITAL : The group is a physician-owned, physician-led multi-specialty medical group of more than 55 physicians serving the Greater Greensboro area. Patients of the group who require hospitalization are admitted and followed by Hospitalists. Communications among the family physicians and the hospitalists are excellent. The family medicine residency program is affiliated with UNC Medical Center. COMMUNITY : The community is a city of 300,000 people, with a regional population of approximately 1.6 million.
