Job Type Full-time Description

As an Automotive Smog Certified Diagnostic Technician , you will play a crucial role in ensuring vehicles meet emission standards and operate efficiently. You will diagnose and repair vehicle emission systems, perform smog inspections, and provide expert advice to customers.

Responsibilities :

Vehicle Inspection : Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential emission issues and safety concerns.
Diagnostic Testing : Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment to pinpoint and diagnose specific problems within a vehicle's emission system.
Repair and Maintenance : Perform necessary repairs and maintenance on emission control systems, including catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, and fuel injection systems.
Smog Certification : Administer state-mandated smog inspections and certification tests, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Customer Service : Provide excellent customer service, explaining technical issues in clear and understandable terms, and answering questions about vehicle maintenance and emissions.
Stay Updated : Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology, emission standards, and diagnostic techniques through ongoing training and certifications.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.

Valid state smog certification

Proven experience as an automotive technician

Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engine mechanics, electrical systems, and emission control components

Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Valid driver's license

Physical Requirements :

Ability to stand for extended periods

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects

Ability to work in various weather conditions

Ability to use hand tools and power tools

Ability to bend, kneel, and crawl
