Job Type Full-time Description
As an Automotive Smog Certified Diagnostic Technician , you will play a crucial role in ensuring vehicles meet emission standards and operate efficiently. You will diagnose and repair vehicle emission systems, perform smog inspections, and provide expert advice to customers.
Responsibilities :
- Vehicle Inspection : Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential emission issues and safety concerns.
- Diagnostic Testing : Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment to pinpoint and diagnose specific problems within a vehicle's emission system.
- Repair and Maintenance : Perform necessary repairs and maintenance on emission control systems, including catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, and fuel injection systems.
- Smog Certification : Administer state-mandated smog inspections and certification tests, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Customer Service : Provide excellent customer service, explaining technical issues in clear and understandable terms, and answering questions about vehicle maintenance and emissions.
- Stay Updated : Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology, emission standards, and diagnostic techniques through ongoing training and certifications.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.Valid state smog certificationProven experience as an automotive technicianStrong knowledge of automotive systems, including engine mechanics, electrical systems, and emission control componentsProficiency in using diagnostic equipment and toolsExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and accuracyValid driver's licensePhysical Requirements :
