Shift / Hours : Monday-Friday, possibly Saturdays, Day Shift : 4 : 00am-4 : 00pm, Swing Shift : 1 : 00pm-10 : 30pm, and Night Shift : 4 : 00pm-4 : 00am

Pay Rate : $22-$23 per hour

Location : San Martin, CA

Experience : At least 1 year of industry experience

Forklift Operator Job Duties include :

Forklift Operation : Safely operate a forklift to move finished product into inventory, and load / unload trucks.

Inventory Management : Ensure the proper rotation and placement of finished goods within the warehouse.

Packaging & Quality Control :

Properly label and package the product for inventory and shipment.

Verify packaged quantities are correct and product quality meets standards.

Shipping & Loading :

Load trucks with finished product for delivery.

Prior to shipment, ensure that the product packaging and pallet are safe and adequate for transport.

Documentation : Complete daily paperwork, including required inspection reports for equipment.

Training : Participate in cross-training for the Equipment Operator (Dry Side) role.

Safety & Compliance : Adhere to all company and department safety procedures and protocols.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager.

Forklift Operator Preferred Skills include :

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Forklift Operator Requirements may include :

Education & Experience : High school diploma or GED equivalent and at least 1 year of related work experience.

Certifications : Must be Forklift Certified.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time.

Ability to lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds each, with assistance if needed, at heights from floor level to 4 feet high.

Work Environment & Schedule :

Must be able to work any shift as required by production schedules.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Reading & Comprehension : Ability to read and interpret loading slips, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Communication : Ability to carry out instructions, both written and oral.

Mathematical Skills : Competency in basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and an understanding of units of measure.

Safety Equipment : Must wear company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE) including earplugs, a hard hat, and protective glasses. Candidates must provide their own safety boots / shoes upon hire and will be eligible for the Safety Boots / Shoe Reimbursement Program after 30 days of employment.

Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Must provide 3 professional references.
