Lead HVAC Installer

We are seeking a skilled sheet metal installer to join our team in the HVAC Heating and Cooling industry. The role involves fabricating and installing ductwork in new and renovated commercial buildings. You will work from blueprints, creating ductwork on-site and installing it according to construction documents. The role requires travel to job sites up to 40 miles from Grand Rapids. Personal protective equipment (PPE) and a basic tool belt are needed, but assistance can be provided if necessary.

Responsibilities :

• Install HVAC ductwork with precision and efficiency.
• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components for duct systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints to guide installation processes.
• Drive to various job sites in West Michigan for project assignments.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.

Work Environment :

Work during the 1st shift, starting between 6am to 2 / 3pm with 8-9 hour shifts. You will need PPE including steel-toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and a reflective vest. Work on construction-based projects at various job sites, collaborating with a team of 2-10 people. Projects currently take place in Battle Creek, Holland, Muskegon, and Comstock areas.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI. Pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
