Strategic Sourcing Manager

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Global Sourcing Manager to lead our Indirect Sourcing initiatives, focusing on the procurement of IT Software, Hardware, Telecommunications, Professional Services, and other Indirect Operation commercial engagements we may have. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry and a proven track record in strategic sourcing and supplier management to lead the multi-site procurement activities.

Key Functions :

Indirect Procurement Operations :  Oversee the procurement of indirect materials and services, ensuring operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The Sourcing manager will be responsible for executing Enterprise Application Strategy and sharing some functions with the rest of the team. Analytical and Structured thinking to detect opportunities to improve total cost of ownership (TCO).

Market Analysis :  Conduct market analysis to identify trends and leverage opportunities in the procurement of indirect services.

Contract Management :  Manage the full lifecycle of contracts, from negotiation to renewal or termination.

Policy Development :  Develop and enforce procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

Stakeholder Engagement :  Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and align sourcing strategies accordingly.

Sustainability :  Promote sustainable sourcing practices and contribute to the company’s sustainability goals.

Experience :  Minimum 10 plus years in a sourcing or procurement role, with a preference for experience in the semiconductor industry.

Industry Knowledge :   Extensive knowledge of IT Software, Hardware, Telecommunications, and related services within the semiconductor sector. Same as experience negotiating with latest technologies and companies holding latest solutions.

Strategic Sourcing :  Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with company objectives. Capacity to react to a rapidly changing environment and pivot into getting results.

Contract Life Management : 'Strong working knowledge of supplier contract strategyy negotiations, contractual terms, and contract administration. This includes understanding corporate regulations and legislation to ensure the creation of effective and beneficial terms & conditions to onsemi.

Negotiation Skills :   Strong negotiation skills with a history of achieving cost savings and favorable terms. Ability to structure and have proactive approach to upcoming renewals, same as creative ideas to handle complex situations. Deep knowledge of commercial contracts to partner with legal team on building favorable agreements.

Supplier Management :  Experience in managing supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and risk management. Knowledge and experience of enabling proximity to suppliers and executing a supplier relationship management plan.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :  Ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as Operations, Legal, Finance, and R&D. High touch situations require fast decision-making in accordance with leadership vision.

Education :  Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice-to-Have :

Advanced Degree :  MBA or Master’s in a related field.

Automotive, Semiconductor, Consumer Goods, Medical, background. Direct materials sourcing, operations or IT background.

Certifications :  Professional certifications such as CPSM or CSCP.

Global Experience :  Experience managing global contracts and working with international suppliers. Experience in tax and logistics and brokerage engagements.

Innovation :  A track record of implementing innovative procurement processes and solutions. Projects that can show ROI and measurable impact to his previous organization.
