About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 2 years overall experience and 1 year in pediatrics preferred.

License : Must have a valid nursing license.

Certifications : Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.

Must-Have :

• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Experience with a patient ratio of 4-5.
• Experience with the charting system preferred.

Description :

The position requires a registered nurse specialized in pediatrics.

This role involves caring for patients including adolescents, infants, and other pediatric populations.

The unit includes a total of 26 beds, with the option to increase to 40 beds.

Common patient diagnoses include respiratory illnesses, diabetes complications, postoperative surgeries, and hematology / oncology conditions.

Responsibilities include administration of medications, management of IVs, and providing fundamental patient care.

Nurses are expected to monitor patient progress and respond to any changes promptly.

Float requirements will apply, with the need to assist in other areas as patient observers when necessary.

The role requires working 50% of holidays during the contract period.

All nurses will engage in infection prevention measures and support breastfeeding if needed.

Must possess strong monitoring skills for various situations, particularly in pediatric settings.

The position may also require the insertion and management of tubes, catheter care, and nutritional support methods.

Effective communication with interdisciplinary teams is vital for the role.

Nurses will be expected to maintain accurate patient records and participate in care team discussions.
