Job descriptionService overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations. Perform OSHA equivalent inspections; documenting and completing warranty work; troubleshooting breakdowns. Perform preventive maintenance; and respond to emergency service / breakdown calls. Support customers by effectively interfacing with customers and internal departments in repairing equipment as needed. Perform electrical and / or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings. Maintain rapport with customers by promptly reviewing and addressing complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; and recommending system improvements. Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklist. Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas. Develop a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists. Responsible for company equipment including, company vehicle(s), trailers, tools, etc. 2-5 years’ troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment is required. Thorough electrical knowledge of 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits. Overhead crane and scissor lift experience required. Associate’s degree with concentration in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or equivalent preferred. Ability to work at height, in extreme temperature and noisy locations. This is a physically demanding job involving standing, walking, sitting and the ability to lift 50-100lbs. Perform inspections to OSHA criteria. Ability to work independently. Capable of dealing directly with the customer and representing self and company in a professional and courteous manner. Communication skills both internally and externally, informing both the company and customers of job status. Quality and results driven while maintaining a safety mindset. Required to use own hand tools and meter. Must have a valid driver’s license. Employment is contingent upon successful motor vehicle record, background check, and drug screen.

The Crane Service Technician will provide quality installation, inspections, maintenance and repair service for hoist and crane equipment. A Crane Service Technician will also uphold the highest level of professional integrity and ethics as required to instill customer confidence and continued success in service.
