Job description

Security Officer - Retail Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Rosemount, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a retail distribution environment, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. Your visible presence and proactive approach allow you to assist visitors, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Working as part of a collaborative team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, you will play a key role in supporting a people-first culture while upholding the highest standards of integrity at the retail location.

Pay Rate : $21.15 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Tue 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Thur 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Fri 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the retail distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior or activity to the appropriate personnel and / or law enforcement as directed.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations and / or lockdowns according to protocol.
  • Maintain a visible Allied Universal presence to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Complete daily activity and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow all site-specific post orders and instructions while working in various environments and conditions at the retail distribution center.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
