About The Position

We are seeking a Pulmonary Critical Care Doctor for a locum tenens opportunity in North Carolina. This assignment is set to begin on Feb 7, 2026, and runs for 36 days, with day shifts from 7a to 5p plus call. The schedule includes 8 to 12 weekends throughout 2026. Board certification in Internal Medicine and completion of a Pulmonary / Critical Care fellowship are required. This is an excellent chance to bring your expertise to a dynamic care environment while supporting patient needs on a short-term contract.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide specialized inpatient and outpatient care in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
  • Manage patient cases independently; no supervision of advanced practice providers required
  • Adhere to established protocols and best practices in critical care and pulmonary medicine
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Participate in scheduled call coverage as indicated
  • Additional Information

  • Board certification in Internal Medicine required
  • Fellowship training in Pulmonary / Critical Care required
  • Must hold an active North Carolina medical license
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • No new graduates will be considered
