Job Description
We are seeking a Safety Coordinator for our Cambridge, MD facility. The successful candidate will assist the Safety Department in conducting the day-to-day safety activities of The Mushroom Company and minimizing the risk of job-related accidents.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Full-time Forklift / Pallet Jack trainer
- Full-time new hire Safety Orientation facilitator
- Chemical management organizer and Haz Com / GHS coordinator
- LOTO / Confined Space / Haz Com safety trainer
- Safety inspector and STOP Observation facilitator
- Coordinate and perform all EHS required trainings within the company
- Develop and enforce OSHA guidelines, policies, and requirements
- Ensure monthly departmental safety training is completed
- Directing accident investigation procedures
- Intervene in unsafe activities or operations
- Maintain records of safety related incidents and propose corrective actions
- Safety meeting translator and interpreter.
REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS
Forklift / Pallet Jack license preferred
