Paralegal – Elder Law & Medicaid Planning

A well-established elder law practice serving the west side of Indianapolis is looking for an experienced Paralegal. The firm focuses on the legal needs of older adults, as well as estate and long-term care planning for people of all ages. It's a small office of a dedicated team of four (attorney, two paralegals, and an office manager) who take pride in providing compassionate, client-centered legal services.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate paralegal to join our office. This position will focus primarily on Medicaid planning and preparing / filing Medicaid applications for clients. Previous Medicaid experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Handle case management and client files
Conduct client intake and meet with clients as needed
Draft correspondence and legal documents
Provide backup support to the office manager, including :

Answering phones and taking messages

Assisting with day-to-day office needs

Responding to urgent client matters

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a paralegal a must

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Corel WordPerfect and QuickBooks is a plus

Compassion, professionalism, and a strong work ethic are essential
