They are currently seeking a Logistics Warehouse Manager to guide teams, distribution processes and quality initiatives for their Northeast US regional distribution center in Mercer County, New Jersey.
NOTE : This is an onsite full time position in Mercer County, New Jersey. Candidates must be accessible to the company's warehouse. This is not a remote opportunity.
The Logistics Warehouse Manager will oversee five direct reports, three supervisors and a warehouse staff of approximately 30 members of the team. Working hours are first shift 8 : 30am – 5 : 00pm Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities :
- Be a leader, and oversee / mentor warehouse staff
- Manage the entire distribution center functions ensuring quality, productivity, cost and service KPIs are continuously met and improved upon
- Manage and analyze the most cost-efficient means of utilizing time, space, and movement within the facility
- Work collaboratively with other managers and executives at company headquarters to further aid in achieving monthly sales goals and ensure timely processing and shipping of sales orders to both dealers and distributors.
- Support strategic business initiatives on a daily basis with a strong understanding of logistics organizational objectives
- Manage operational relationship with third party transportation and logistics providers
- Responsible for the purchasing of all equipment and supplies for the Distribution Center
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field7 years of related experience and management of typically two or more regular full-time employees (one of whom must be exempt)A strong background in management with training in supervision, problem solving, and motivational skills is requiredA minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in distribution management along with 2-3 years’ experience in planning and inventory control systems is necessaryA strong knowledge in freight transportation and shipping / receiving is helpful.Ability to lead, coach, discipline and train a team of people is requiredExperience with Distribution Center safety training and programs is a plusExperience with budget management / financials is a plusBasic Microsoft office skills – Word, PowerPoint, ExcelKnowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and inventory control systems a plusKnowledge in freight transportation and shipping / receiving is helpful
