Job Description
The SCADA Engineer designs, configures, tests, and supports automation and control systems for power and utility projects. This role focuses on developing reliable and secure SCADA, substation automation, and protection & control solutions that meet industry standards and cybersecurity best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement SCADA and substation automation systems, including PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, and communication networks.
- Configure and test protection, control, and monitoring systems for substations and industrial power facilities.
- Integrate OEM hardware and protocols such as DNP3, Modbus, and IEC 61850.
- Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and system validation in collaboration with project and field teams.
- Ensure compliance with standards (IEEE, IEC, UL, NFPA) and cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST).
- Prepare technical documentation—schematics, wiring diagrams, configuration notes, and operation manuals.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and end users throughout project delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Automation , or Power Systems , with 1–3 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and field experience.Hands-on knowledge of SCADA protection & control communication networks , and power system automationFamiliarity with configuration tools (e.g., SEL AcSELerator, Siemens, ABB, or Schneider platforms).Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.Occasional travel may be required for customer site visits, testing, or commissioning.Competitive compensation based on experience, with opportunities for professional development.Seniority Level
