About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM)

Experience : 2 years of cardiac open heart recovery experience, 2 previous travel assignments, strong surgical intermediate care experience

License : Registered Nurse

Certifications : BLS, Critical Care Certification preferred, ACLS preferred

Must-Have :

Experience with high acuity patients

Proficiency in managing high acuity intermediate care patients

Description :

The position involves working in a fast-paced surgical step-down unit.

The team primarily cares for patients recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries.

The role requires experience in caring for patients who are 1 or more days post-operative from CABG, valve repairs, and valve replacements.

Successful candidates will have experience with mechanical circulatory support devices like LVADs.

The unit features both continuous cardiac monitoring and telemetry or non-monitored care.

The nurse-patient ratio is typically 1 : 3 during the day and 1 : 4 at night.

This unit provides care for patients who are post-operative from cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries.

There are dedicated beds available for both intermediate care monitoring and telemetry level care.
