Position : Energy / Natural Resources Transactional Associate Location : Denver or Boulder, Colorado

Experience Level : 3-5 Years

Our client, a highly respected law firm with a strong regional and national presence, is seeking an Energy and Natural Resources Transactional Associate Attorney to join their growing practice in Denver or Boulder, CO . This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated matters in the energy and natural resources sector with direct client contact, mentorship from experienced partners, and a clear path for career development.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in energy, natural resources, and environmental transactional matters, including project development, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures .
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to energy projects, resource management, and land transactions .
  • Conduct due diligence and provide counsel on regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Support partners in managing active caseloads and contribute to business development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Colorado Bar (or eligible for admission by motion).
  • 3-5 years of transactional experience , ideally within energy, natural resources, or environmental law.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
