Motion Graphic Designer

The LA Clippers are seeking a Motion Graphics Designer to join our Creative Services team and support creative initiatives across the organization. In this role, you will conceptualize, design, and animate dynamic graphics and original content for use across event presentation, marketing, and partnerships. Your work will be showcased on in-game LED video boards, sponsored in-arena assets, LA Clippers-branded media platforms, and digital channels. We are looking for a highly skilled Motion Graphics Designer with a strong design sensibility, a keen eye for storytelling, and a high level of creative resourcefulness.

Due to the nature of this industry, the candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule including weeknights, weekends, and holidays to cover high profile NBA games.

What You Will Do

• Create high-quality original static and animated graphics with minimal direction from concept to completion.
• Develop graphics templates, as well as customized designs for team usage.
• Produce animated motion graphics for Intuit Dome LED displays.
• Work closely with designers, marketing team, event presentation team, digital team, broadcast team and social producers to create custom animations and maintain a consistent overall team brand.
• Understand brand and marketing objectives, contributing to the evolution of the team's image.
• Create sample layouts of both complex graphics and animations; using independent judgment, principles and aesthetic design concepts.
• Design and create promotional and event presentation videos, animations, and graphics.

Your Background, Skills and Qualifications

• 2 to 4+ years of professional experience working in motion design.
• Expert with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically with After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop.
• Strong Adobe Illustrator skills.
• Proficiency in working with Cinema 4D or other similar 3D software a plus.
• Demonstrates excellent time management skills and takes creative initiatives in project execution.
• Passion for visual storytelling with a strong sense of design, typography, and video.
• Creatively motivated, organized, and able to work independently with little direction.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills and able to adapt to various team projects and schedules.
• Ability to learn, contribute, and thrive in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and positively interact in a diverse multi-cultural environment.

About Intuit Dome:

Opened in August 2024, Intuit Dome is the new home of the LA Clippers and will host hundreds of sporting events and concerts each year. Located in Inglewood, Calif., Intuit Dome is built different -- it will redefine fans' expectations for live experiences and change the music landscape in Los Angeles.

Set to host the 2026 NBA All-Star game and Olympic Basketball in 2028, Intuit Dome is over 1 million square feet and features our team training center, business operations offices, five full-sized basketball courts, an 80,000 square foot outdoor plaza and a double-sided Halo Board composed of more than an acre of LED.

Compensation

• The range for this position is $70,000 annual compensation. Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
• The role is classified as non-exempt
