Manager Transmission & Construction
Location : Remote residing in Florida with travel required to all Chesapeake Utilities business unit locations

What you'll be working on :
- Provides overall leadership and management of the Construction Services, Transmission
department and lead all associated resources, including contractors.
Manages the development of efficient, organized and productive construction work plans tofacilitate the allocation of internal and external resources.
Evaluates, improves and standardizes transmission projects life cycle process.Establishes priorities and goals and establishing accountability for meeting projected targets.Reviews / awards bids for capital projects as well as standard transmission constructioncontracts; analyzes and approves cost estimates.
Develops, trains, coaches, and conducts performance appraisals of team members within thedepartment.
Creates a positive work culture that aids in team member engagement and retention.Ensures Company compliance to Federal, State, Local and other jurisdictional authorities.Provides technical guidance to the team and identifies and assists with implementation of newor innovative technologies.
Collaborates with Business Development and Regional Offices on development of large NaturalGas capital projects.
Trains and mentors Field Construction managers within their role regarding new policies, procedures, regulations and methodologies.Reviews / approves all documents associated with capital projects, including estimates,contractor proposals, designs, schematics.
Collaborates with other departments in Operation Services to achieve team and company goals.Represents the Company at regulatory and trade related organization meetings.Collaborates with the Manager of Construction services project status, targeted completiondates and additional resources that may be required.
Participates in updating Operations and Maintenance (O&M Manuals), GIS system, ConstructionStandards, and Service Manuals.
Ensures all Department's vehicles, equipment and tools are maintained.Who you are :
High School Diploma; Associate's degree preferredSeven (7) years related experienceValid Driver's License (Class E)API1169, American Petroleum Institute, CWI -Certified Welding Institute certificationsNatural gas pipeline construction experienceStrong organizationVerbal and written communication skillsLeadership skills, mechanical skills, Microsoft Office Suite experienceAbility to lead by exampleManage multiple employees and projectsAbility to work independently as well as with diverse teamsBenefits / what's in it for you?
