Job title : Automotive Mechanic Location : Branford, CT Duration : Full time preferred, (flexible shifts available) Hours of operation : Monday - Friday 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00pm (hours are flexible) no weekends are required however. Benefits : -The facility has A / C and heat in the repair shop and office to provide the most comfortable working environment-Uniform laundering cost covered-Paid (select) holidays off (6 per year, when holiday falls on a weekday)-40+ hours PTO per year (available to use after first 90 days of employment)-Annual bonus-Hourly pay rate-Retirement options available Position Summary and Requirements : -Must have a valid driver's license and be over the age of 18.-3 years of automotive experience in the field-Tool box with basic hand tools, the facility supplies scan tools and specialty tools as needed for certain manufactures The candidate must have the following knowledge and skill set : -Must be able to read and diagnose OB2 DTCS along with ABS, Airbag and other associated warning lamps-The individual should be able to complete tasks on time according to ALLDATA labor times but we understand nothing goes as planned in the automotive industry when working in the rust belt.-Perform diagnostic testing and interpret results-Repairing malfunctioning parts and other mechanical or electrical equipment; Complete repairs safely, effectively and efficiently-Maintaining a clean and safe work environment-A dedicated individual who works well with others and is excited to be part of our team!-High School Diploma or GED-Graduate of acceptable trade school or manufacturer’s technical school, OR previous automotive mechanic experience- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail- Strong communication and customer service skills
