The Role We Want You For

Lamar Johnson Collaborative is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Architect to join our team. As a Project Architect, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the design and execution of a variety of projects from conception to completion.

The Specifics of the Role

• Lead and manage architectural projects ensuring successful and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SMEs, designers, engineers, and contractors, to achieve project goals.
• Supports, guides, and directs the architectural team through all phases of design : initial programming, planning, feasibility & concept development, preliminary design, detailed design, construction documentation, and construction administration.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Understand and address client needs and expectations, ensuring satisfaction throughout the project.
• Review and approve architectural plans and specifications, ensuring they meet project requirements.
• Develop and manage project budgets and schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Implement effective cost control measures and risk management strategies.
• Conduct regular quality checks on project deliverables to ensure high standards of design and construction are maintained.
• Mentor and guide junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Stays up to date with industry trends and best practices.
