What We Look For

The

Experiential Designer, Spatial

role will translate brand narratives into three-dimensional environments from concept to final execution. You will support the creative team in developing spatial, environmental, graphic, and digital design solutions for physical, built environments such as branded interiors, installations, pop-ups, preview centers, or permanent spaces. This is not purely visual or digital design; proven spatial design experience is key. Ideal candidates understand how people interact with space, materiality, circulation, scale, and atmosphere, and are fluent in spatial planning and environmental storytelling. You should be confident producing 2D and 3D design documentation that guides fabrication, installation, and implementation. You thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting and balance creative vision with real-world execution. You are comfortable presenting ideas, open to feedback, and excited by design challenges within complex spatial and brand contexts. Applicants from diverse design backgrounds are welcome (Environmental Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Scenic Design, or similar) but you must show professional work demonstrating spatial thinking and execution in physical environments (built projects, design development for real-world installations, environmental graphics with spatial integration, or other spatially-driven design work).

Responsibilities

Execute visual concepts, mood boards, sketches, graphics, models, and renderings at varying scales.

Conduct base research on materials, industry trends, and experiential design inspiration to inform creative solutions.

Collaborate with teams to challenge conventional thinking and develop innovative design solutions that align with project goals and standards.

Prepare client-facing presentations, including slide layout, renderings, diagrams, and mockups.

Receive guidance from Creative Directors and Design Directors, and work with a multidisciplinary team to push toward creative excellence.

Qualifications and Skills

Portfolio showing process, conceptual design, graphic design, space planning, renderings, and / or materials selection for interiors or experiential spaces.

2 to 5 years of relevant experience.

Comfort working under guidance on mid- and large-sized projects; collaboration with senior designers.

Experience engaging with clients on design intent and participating in presentations.

Experience delivering designs within defined boundaries while exploring unique approaches.

History of completing tasks on time within a creative vision or strategy.

Technical : Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite; fluency with 3D design tools (SketchUp, Revit, CAD); proficiency with presentation tools (Google Slides, Keynote, PowerPoint).

Strong communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, time management, and a passion for learning.

Nice-to-have

Motion design (After Effects, Cinema 4D)

Rendering tools (Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion)

UI / UX or collaboration tools (Miro, FigJam)

Hand sketching (traditional or digital)

Workplace

Salary of $65,000-$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience

Based in Nashville, TN (Hybrid)

Ability to travel as needed (less than 10%)

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000. This range is a good-faith estimate for roles performed in Nashville; the final pay position will be based on qualifications, experience, and business needs.
