The Role
We are seeking a Director of Strategic Marketing to build and execute a high-impact marketing strategy that accelerates growth, strengthens market positioning, and improves commercial performance. This leader will drive strategic segmentation, value proposition development, and go-to-market execution across PMS’s core end markets, including Life Sciences and Electronics, while enabling sales, product management, and executive leadership with actionable insights and measurable outcomes.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking and analytical rigor with the ability to translate strategy into commercial execution, improving lead quality, conversion, and revenue growth. This role is highly cross-functional and requires a leader who can operate in a fast-paced environment with high accountability and a focus on measurable value creation.
Job Responsibilities
Growth Strategy & Market Positioning
Own and evolve PMS’s strategic marketing roadmap, aligned with enterprise growth and value creation objectives
Lead market, customer, and competitor analyses to identify high-growth segments, whitespace opportunities, and commercial priorities
Develop and refine PMS’s value propositions, messaging architecture, and differentiated positioning across key end markets
Build segmentation and targeting strategies that improve pipeline efficiency and market share capture
Go-to-Market Strategy & Commercial Enablement
Lead development and execution of go-to-market strategies for priority product lines, services, and innovation launches
Partner with Sales to drive consistent positioning, message adoption, and field readiness through content, training, and tools
Develop strategic pricing and packaging inputs in collaboration with Product and Finance to support margin expansion
Translate customer insights into actionable sales plays, account-based initiatives, and market-specific programs
Demand Generation & Performance Marketing
Drive integrated demand generation programs to increase qualified pipeline, conversion, and revenue contribution
Improve performance measurement and ROI tracking across campaigns, channels, and content
Optimize marketing investments to ensure efficiency, accountability, and alignment to commercial goals
Build scalable programs that grow inbound demand while supporting strategic outbound initiatives
Portfolio & Lifecycle Marketing
Lead lifecycle marketing strategy to support product adoption, retention, upsell/cross-sell, and customer engagement
Develop content strategies that reinforce PMS as a thought leader and trusted partner in regulated and high-precision industries
Coordinate product messaging, launch strategy, and adoption plans with Product Management and R&D
Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Partner closely with Product, Sales, Service, R&D, and Quality teams to ensure aligned market strategy and execution
Deliver executive-ready analyses, reporting, and recommendations to leadership and PE stakeholders
Influence key commercial decisions through data-driven insights and structured business cases

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
8–12+ years of progressive experience in strategic marketing, product marketing, or commercial strategy, ideally in B2B industrial technology, instrumentation, or regulated markets
Demonstrated ability to lead segmentation, positioning, and GTM execution with measurable growth results
Strong analytical and financial acumen; comfort working with pipeline metrics, conversion data, and ROI analysis
Experience working in Private Equity-backed, high-growth, or transformation environments strongly preferred
Exceptional communication skills and ability to align cross-functional stakeholders around clear priorities
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role primarily operates in an office/lab/manufacturing environment. Must be able to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods of time
Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. may be required

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary range: $132500 - 198750 depending on experience
Performance bonus eligible

For new hires, offers are generally within the established min- to mid-point of the range for the role, with flexibility to recognize experience, skills, and education.
