Overview

Graduate / Staff Geotechnical Engineer (Houston, TX) – Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Graduate (Staff) Geotechnical Engineer in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will perform project management duties, including conducting geotechnical investigations and analysis, and related responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical investigations and analysis, perform boring layout for utility clearance, supervise drill rigs, classify soils, log borings, test pits, and cores, perform floor level surveys, perform testing and observation services, review plans and specifications, and prepare geotechnical reports and letters.
• Coordinate assignment and compilation of laboratory testing and geotechnical calculations, including calculations pertaining to slope stability analysis, liquefaction, dynamic settlement, and pile design.

Education

Education : B.S. / B.A. required (Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Engineering); M.S. preferred.
