Workshop and Warehouse Operative

Our client, a growing company within the STEM / manufacturing sector, is seeking a Workshop & Warehouse Operative to join their team. This role involves supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy workshop and warehouse environment, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled efficiently, stock is well managed, and high standards of health and safety are maintained.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders with accuracy and attention to detail .

Prepare and package special or custom-order items as required.

Manage goods inwards and outwards , ensuring stock is recorded and handled properly.

Conduct regular stock checks and assist with the annual stocktake .

Use online courier platforms to arrange deliveries and generate shipping labels.

Liaise with the Office Manager regarding orders, stock, and dispatch timelines.

Ensure workshop and warehouse areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and organised manner .

Follow all health & safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.

Perform other general warehouse or workshop duties as required to support the team.

Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or workshop environment preferred.

Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Comfortable using computers and basic shipment software or online courier tools.

Strong communication skills and a flexible, can-do attitude.

Forklift licence is highly desirable , but not essential — training can be provided.

Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving stock / materials safely.

Good understanding of health and safety standards in a warehouse setting.
