Job Description
American Traveler seeks an experienced X-Ray Technologist with strong acute care imaging, OR, and fluoroscopic skills for a three-month day shift assignment.
Responsibilities
Work in an acute care hospital setting with designated Level 1 Adult Trauma and Level II Pediatric Trauma unitsHandle imaging in ER, ICU, NICU, PICU, and OR environmentsPerform bedside / portable X-rays, trauma imaging, C-arm procedures, and a variety of fluoroscopic studiesIndependently perform all aspects of X-ray technologyDay shift schedule : Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM (3x12-hour shifts)Floating required per facility policy; staff may float to other units or campuses for which they are qualifiedEpic EMR is used; prior Epic experience is requiredIndependently manage all aspects of X-ray imaging including advanced trauma and pediatric casesEquipment training and adaptation support is available as neededNo first-time travelers will be considered for this positionTwo professional references are required for considerationMust be able to accommodate floating as staffing needs ariseLocal candidates accepted; eligibility and rate depends on distance from facility—candidates must reside at least 100 miles from any Prisma facility for full travel eligibility, with reduced rates or ineligibility for candidates within 50-99.9 miles as specifiedRequirements
Active SCRQSA license required (license required if applicable)ARRT (R) and BLS certifications requiredMinimum 2 years experience preferred; 1 year accepted with Level 1 trauma and Children’s Hospital experience including demonstrated OR and fluoroscopy proficiencyDemonstrated competency in acute care imaging including ER, ICU, NICU, PICU, and ORExperience with bedside / portable X-ray, trauma imaging, C-arm, and a range of fluoroscopic proceduresEpic EMR experience requiredBenefits
