About The Position

Job Title : RN Psych

Profession : Registered Nurse

Shift : Rotating Day / Night

Hours per Shift : 36 hours

Experience : Minimum of 1 year of experience in Emergency Department or Emergency Psychiatry. Inpatient psychiatry experience is acceptable if the candidate has medical experience.

License : Valid nursing license required.

Certifications : BLS or ACLS required.

Must-Have : Emergency Department experience or Emergency Psychiatry experience required. IV insertion and / or phlebotomy skills preferred but not required.

Description :

The position involves working within the Acute Psychiatry Service in an emergency department setting.

Candidates will address acute psychiatric, neuropsychiatric, and substance-use emergencies in both children and adults.

The clinician to patient ratio is 1 RN to 4-5 patients.

The patient population consists of individuals with psychiatric and mental health needs.

The bed count is 20-24, with a typical census ranging from 20-24 patients.
