King County Metro Transit Enterprise Asset Management Section seeks an Asset Management Project / Program Manager IV (PPM IV) to act as a steward overseeing department-wide assets. In a highly matrixed structure, the Asset Management PPM IV will lead high-profile projects, establish new process and guidance leading our asset management practices to align with the corporate objectives, and to ensure our assets in state of good repair with reliable, complete and timely information to support decision making.
The Asset Management PPM IV will share best asset management practices with division representatives to ensure that each division shares a similar process in managing assets by implementing the agency's Asset Management strategies, policy and managing the centralized single true source of asset management information system. The role of the PPM IV will provide expertise, guidance, coordination, and support in the ongoing work of Metro Enterprise Asset Management service.
In the next two years, the PPM IV will be focusing on Hexagon Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) implementation. Working closely with EAMS project team by leading multiple workstream leads from the areas of functionality, data, reports, testing, training and etc., Specifically, managing workstream leads through resource assignment and delivery of scope; conducting vendor performance management, including resourcing and quality of work products and deliverables; performing project scope verification and monitoring throughout all project phases; facilitating the compilation and documentation of work breakdown structure (WBS) for project delivery; regularly evaluating workstream delivery resources to assure sufficient resourcing for delivery and managing Change Control Process requests, tracking and Change Review Board.
This position will report to the Director of Asset Management and join a small team in the Finance and Administration division. The most competitive candidate for this position will be an innovative project manager with strong collaboration and communication skills who has significant experiences in asset management, large-scale projects management, good understanding of people side change management resulting from the changes of technology, policy, and / or process.
Position Info : This recruitment will be used to fill One (1) Career Service Program / Project Manager IV classification vacancy. In addition, this selection process may be used to generate an eligibility list for future Special Duty Assignment (SDA), Term Limited Temporary (TLT), and Career Service (CS) vacancies that may occur in this classification within this workgroup. The eligibility list will be retained for 12 months from the date of posting and may be used at the discretion of the hiring authority.

Work Location : This is a hybrid position. The team works in a hybrid model, with days in the office as well as telecommuting. Currently the team is required to work 1 day in office on Wednesdays each week. The ratio of remote to onsite work will be dependent on business needs and is subject to change. The primary onsite location is King Street Center, 201 S. Jackson, Seattle, Washington 98104.
Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.

The individual selected for this opportunity will join an innovative and progressive team that is redefining how we work as we transition to the department's hybrid environment. Employees will be provided with a County-issued laptop and must maintain a home workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.
